Explore Ålesund

Marvel at the breathtaking scenery as we journey towards Ålesund, a stunning town which has become famous for its Art Nouveau architecture. In 1904 the town was devastated by a fire and the buildings were rebuilt in the unusual style of Art Nouveau. Take a trip to the local museum and find out all about the fascinating history of the town on the Arctic Wonders cruise.

Day 3 -
Arrive in Trondheim

Trondheim was the original capital of Norway and is a cosmopolitan city which is proud of its intriguing history. If you visit the Nidaros Cathedral you will see its striking Gothic architecture or if you prefer, walk around the colourful wharf.

Day 4 -
Lofoten Islands

Today on the Arctic Wonders cruise you will cross the Arctic Circle before the ship navigates between the delightful Lofoten Islands. Here you can enjoy an optional Viking feast or explore the spectacular Ice Gallery which features elaborate sculptures and ambient music that represent narratives of the Lofoten Islands.

Arrive in Tromsø

In the afternoon the Arctic Wonders cruise reaches the Arctic capital, Tromsø. This is one of the best places on Earth to witness the captivating Northern Lights. This cultural and vibrant city is set among the dramatic Lyngen Alps and boasts the most northerly university and cathedral. Here you can take part in an optional husky sledding adventure.

Arctic Wonders Cruise - Kjøllerfjord

Known as the gateway to the North Cape, Kjøllerfjord is a large fishing village where the Arctic Wonders cruise docks in the evening. Enjoy an invigorating snowmobile excursion through the wintry Lappish countryside.

Kirkenes

Today we arrive in Kirkenes where you can experience a real Arctic adventure at the renowned Snow Hotel where you will stay overnight in one of the amazing ice rooms. Make the most of your time here and go fishing for King Crab or take part in other exciting activities like a husky safari.
