See the northern lights on an amazing arctic cruise
An extraordinary Northern Lights cruise which meanders through the most northerly part of Norway’s remote arctic landscape, in search of the mesmerising Aurora Borealis. These spectacular cruises follow a specially designed route above the Arctic Circle, which will increase your chance of seeing the mesmerising Northern Lights.
Your spectacular Northern Lights cruise begins in Norway’s Arctic capital Tromsø, it then journeys north towards the waters of Honningsvåg. In the evenings be sure to venture to the deck and look into the sky where hopefully, the weather conditions will allow an extraordinary display of the Northern Lights. When the cruise arrives in Honningsvåg there will be an optional tour to the North Cape, which is Europe’s most northerly point. On this excursion you will witness the Cape’s dramatic craggy cliffs, which rise 300 metres from the sea, leaving nothing but water between you and the frozen wilderness surrounding the North Pole.
The cruise then departs the North Cape and sails east towards the remote region of Kirkenes, which is just 10km from the Russian border. There are a range of optional activities available in this idyllic town including: A visit to the border with Russia, snowmobiling and a taste of Sami life. After your stay at Kirkenes your Northern Lights cruise turns around for your return journey. As you travel back to Tromsø you will have the opportunity to visit the fascinating remote settlements which adorn Norway’s coastline. At the end of your Northern Lights cruise you will return to Tromsø, where you will have an overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 1 -
Fly from UK to Tromsø

Depart from the UK on a flight to Tromsø, on arrival you will be met and transferred to your Northern Lights Cruise. Tonight will be the first chance you have of seeing the mesmerising Aurora Borealis light up the sky, you can request to be woken if the lights appear late at night at the ships reception area.

Day 2 -
Passing North Cape
|
As your journey continues past North Cape you will witness some of the phenomenal craggy and remote landscapes of the arctic.

Day 3 -
Kirkenes
|
When the cruise ship reaches the town of Kirkenes you can partake in a range of optional activities before sailing south again. Onboard your majestic cruise ship you will have a better chance of viewing the phenomenal Northern Lights, because you are away from all sources of artificial lights.

Day 4 -
Arrive Tromsø late evening
|
After a day of sailing, your Northern Lights cruise will arrive in Tromsø late in the evening. On your arrival you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel for an overnight stay.

Flight to the UK
|
Today you will have some free time before transferring to Tromsø airport for a return flight to the UK. Make the most of the time you have left by exploring Tromsø or enjoying an exhilarating husky sledding safari (optional).
